Little Hawthorne started in June 2012 in Atlanta, GA with simple handmade products. Since then, LH has evolved into a office supply and graphic resource studio providing quality products and graphic design and illustration services for individuals and businesses.

I’m Kimberly.

I am a multi-passionate entrepreneur, graphic designer, illustrator and creative dedicated to helping individuals and businesses with their creative projects!

I believe strongly in equality, representation, and reaching back to give a helping hand and have found one of the best ways for me to promote this is in the Little Hawthorne product line, which features illustrations of figures from multiple ethnic backgrounds and cultures as well as on our Blog which features helpful and informative information on small business.

In addition, I also help a local non-profit with their graphic design projects, web development and video production needs.

“When it comes to my collective artwork and designs, I want as many people as possible to feel represented. I want people to see my work and feel proud, moved, excited and connected because they see themselves and their interests. Representation matters!

I graduated from college with honors and a B.A. in Fashion Design and Merchandising in 2010. A few months afterwards, I started my first business while working as a visual merchandiser. Both experiences helped me launch Little Hawthorne in 2012.

I started out sawing and painting custom wood signs and making earrings which allowed me to showcase my design perspective (and get my hands dirty) but due space restrictions and time restraints that only lasted for about a year. During that time I relied heavily on my design background to make and market my products. I often used graphic software programs to promote my work and this allotted me real world practice to sharpen my skills and acquire new ones.

In 2014, I relaunched my business with a focus on office supplies and graphic resources. I can attribute my time in college learning graphic design, color theory and other art/design courses as the foundation to launch and grow my business to where it is today.
